We are proud to announce the completion of recording for the upcoming album by NEW ERA QUARTET — a bold and intimate project featuring nine sevdalinkas reimagined in a completely new dimension.
This unique album brings the soul of sevdah into the refined world of classical chamber music, performed by a classical string quartet led by the expressive voice of Kristina Mlinar, the ensemble’s first violinist.
She is joined by Teodora Kalicanin on second violin, Francesca Senatore on viola, and Alessandro Dore on cello.
The recordings took place in the legendary Pavarotti Music Center in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a space rich with musical history and emotion — the perfect setting for this special musical journey.
Blending tradition with contemporary classical arrangements, this album offers a deeply emotional reinterpretation of sevdah, honoring its roots while opening new artistic horizons.
